Salt-N-Pepa Official Fan Site

Do any of you remember www.saltnpepa.shoop.com?  I am Jeff, and I was the webmaster there.  My best friend Janet and I were so young and silly!  We discovered that there was a web hosting company that gave you the option to pay them by check, however when you selected this option they still gave you instant access, so I said I was going to pay by check to get instant access, but then “forgot” to send them the aforementioned check.  They apparently didn’t keep close track, because it took them about two years to notice that I had pirated that domain.  Once they did notice, that was the end of it.

That was approximately ten years ago.  Janet and I are from Collierville, TN which is a suburb of Memphis, and we attended Collierville Middle School and Collierville High School together.  Since then, Janet and I have both attended college.  Janet went to Webster in STL and I went to the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK.  Janet now resides in Portland, OR with her husband Peter.  She has her own web design firm.  I lived in Norman for seven years, where I attended college and  have taught special education and mainstream English.  I now live in Portland with Janet and her husband and hope to continue to teach special education in the near future.

Having not released a new album in some time, Salt N Pepa eventually fell out of the mainstream eye, and all of the SNP fan sites eventually became defunct for one reason or another.  Mine of course went down because I was 16 and broke and my web hosting people decided that they actually did want me to pay them, and if I wasn’t going to pay I couldn’t have a website (I know!  RUDE!), and the others were down because I don’t know why, but the point is that none were left…until now!  With the recent reunion of Salt N Pepa, Janet and I decided that this void needed to be filled, and so we created this website.

We are the best, the only, the premier, the Official Salt-N-Pepa Fan Site.  Janet is a web designer, so she does most of the design aspects, while I supplied most of the core content.  We work together to try to bring you the latest news about Salt N Pepa, however Janet usually beats me to the punch posting news flashes.

Janet and I have had a lot of love for Salt N Pepa for a very long time, so we want to do this to honor them and show them how much we appreciate them.  We hope this will become a place where people can come together and bond over our shared love of these ladies and their music, as well as get news and other info regarding Salt N Pepa.  This is an entirely collaborative effort between Janet and I, and we both work hard to make sure this site stays up to date.  We would love to involve other SNP fans with this site, so if you have any comments, suggestions, ideas, or info let us know!
