Salt-N-Pepa Coming to the UK

Salt-N-Pepa have booked a show in Wales, United Kingdom as a part of the BLOC 2010 Festival. They will be performing on Saturday, 13 March 2010.

This is the first time SNP have come to the UK in over a decade so if you are a UK fan clear your schedule! I wouldn’t be surprised if they book more dates in the UK in March. We will keep our calendar of dates updated as we learn about any upcoming performances.

Happy Birthday Pepa!

Happy birthday Pepa, who celebrates her special day on November 9th. Crazy enough, I am not 100% how old she is today. Some sources say 45, some say she is turning 40. The more credible sources seem to point to 45 years old today.  Regardless she is looking more gorgeous than ever.

Happy Birthday Pepa!

Jeff of Salt-N-Pepa.org Relocates!

Hey guys, just wanted to let all of you know that the big day has finally arrived. I am all packed up and tomorrow morning I begin the three day drive from Norman, Oklahoma to Portland, Oregon where I will be living with Janet, the other half of the life force which drives Salt-N-Pepa.org. I’m very excited about the move. I just ask everybody to hope/pray for my safe arrival! With Janet and I living under the same roof, perhaps we will have more opportunities to make this site even better for you guys! I hope to see some great things happening here soon.

The next Salt N Pepa opinion poll

I think it is about time to wrap up our Good Hair poll.  The results are pretty close at the moment between Pep’s Long N Sleek look and her Sleek Bob look, but they seem to have pretty much leveled out.  I have a few ideas in mind for the next one, but do any of you have any suggestions of your own?  Let me know!

Pep in the City

There isn’t much to say here, but this article mentions Pepa’s upcoming VH1 show and states that it will be called Pep in the City. I still haven’t seen even a tentative release date for the show, but at least now we know what it is going to be called.

SNP take the stage at Good Vibrations music festival

Salt N Pepa will be gracing the stage alongside Basement Jax, Naughty by Nature, Z-Trip, and many others at Australia’s Good VIbrations festival this summer.  They will be appearing on 4 dates in 4 cities.  For more information, read the full press release here.

NOTE: By “this summer” what I mean is summer in the southern hemisphere, which is winter here up north.  The festivities begin on Feb. 13th.

SNP in Los Angeles

Salt N Pepa will be performing in Los Angeles at Club Nokia on Saturday, December 26.  Tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster this Friday, October 16.  Their show in Biloxi was crazy awesome, so if you can possibly catch this show, I highly recommend it.

Good Hair Greeted with a Good Reception

Chris Rock’s new film Good Hair has premiered and has been well received.  We here at salt-n-pepa.org have been inundated with Google alerts regarding the film and Salt N Pepa’s involvement in it.  The most recent one contains an interesting little tidbit:

The asymmetric hair that Salt-N-Pepa made iconic was the result of a relaxer accident.

Source: Entertainment Weekly

Very interesting!  You can currently vote for this asymmetrical look as your favorite Pepa hairstyle on the right!  Other articles regarding the film can be found at indieWIRE and at American Superstar.

Spinderella Would be Ginger Spice?

No, not talking about Spice Girls! Pedestrian TV interviewed Spinderella and one of their burning questions was about which spice she’d be to go along with Salt N Pepa.

Ginger, because that’s what my boo calls me. It’s one of those names your boyfriend gives you, you know like “you’re my ginger baby” and you’re like “okay? Okay I’ll be ginger”
