Sorry I haven’t exactly stayed on top of keeping the tour schedule up to date. SNP have shows scheduled in Chicago on Friday, June 25 at the Taste of Chicago festival at Grant Park and in Hawaii on Saturday, June 19 at the now seemingly annual Ladies of the 80s show. Anybody know of any dates I’ve missed? I’ll check around and update the tour schedule soon.

Cheryl “Salt” James Wray turns 44 years young today, and I must say she is looking lovelier than ever! Let’s all wish her a happy birthday with hopes for another fabulous year!

As many of you know, I used to live in Oklahoma, and I am familiar with Thackerville, where SNP will be doing a show with MC Hammer in May, and I found it a slightly odd and amusing choice of places and venues for them to perform. When I jokingly asked Spin why they would choose to perform in such a place of all the places in Oklahoma they might go, she informed me of a recent change with Salt N Pepa. She said she could answer this question for me, because she is no longer with Salt N Pepa! I hesitated to report this news, but somebody on another website reported it yesterday, so I guess it’s fair game. Spin did not offer any explanation as to why she chose to leave, so I didn’t ask for one. As far as I know she will still be spinning the April 3rd show in Palm Springs (which is being billed as Salt N Pepa’s first performance with Spin since 2000…wtf?), but I suppose that will be her last SNP show. Spinderella, we love you and you did a lot of great work with Salt N Pepa, and I’m looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us in the future! It is always sad to see great things come to an end, but I’m sure you still have lots of greatness left for us.

I finally added the Dinah show to the tour schedule. I listed it as April 3rd, but Spin says it will be either the 3rd or 4th, so I don’t know if they have the lineup set in stone yet. If you’re going to be there, I’m sure you can figure it out. They will also be doing another casino show, this time along with MC Hammer! This amazing show is going to be in Thackerville, Oklahoma.

Here is another interview, this time with Cheryl, where we are once again promised new music from Salt N Pepa in the very near future.

As far as food goes! I came across this video from Pepa’s new show Let’s Talk About Pep. The show premiers on Monday on VH1 so be sure and check it out! This clip is 21 minutes long. This is billed on the website as a “sneak premiere” but it plays more like a pre-game rundown. I hope the guys we see in this preview aren’t the only guys Sandy has to choose from. Can I get a D? O? U? C? H? E? BAG!!!!!!! “I’m 40 years old, but I think I’m still smooth and still got game like I’m eighteen…” Brotha, please… I’m going to reserve my comments regarding Sandy’s lady friends until I see a bit more. I don’t want to be judgmental. Check it out and try to enjoy.
